Welcome to Aalborg University Library. New students at Aalborg University will find all they need to know about using the library in the information below.

 

Your AAU-card also serves as your library card, and like all other new students at AAU, you are automatically registered as library user. When you use your AAU e-mail and corresponding pin code, you can access the library's online resources from home. If is so happens that you are looking for material that is not in the library's collection, please let us know, and we will try to obtain it from another library.

Your AAU-Card is also your library card. Your card number is your AAU-Card number (NOT your student number). You must choose a four digit PIN code before you can borrow books.

Remote access

Remote access allows students at Aalborg University to access the library's electronic resources from any loaction with Internet access.

If the book you need is out, or you would like to pick it up at another branch, you can request it from the library's collection.

If you need material that is not in the library's collections, we will do our best to procure it from another library via interlibrary loan.

Branches

Aalborg University Library has seven branches altogether. Five branches in Aalborg, one in Copenhagen, and one in Esbjerg. You are free to use any of them for pick-up and return of material, as well as for studying.

The main branch hosts the library's collections, and has excellent facilities for studying, as well as staff to assist you.

The branch at Strandvejen has facilities for both studying and relaxation. There are whiteboards available for group work etc.

At the library's Nordkraft branch, you can work alone or in groups, pick-up and return books, and use the Study Collection.

Our Copenhagen branch contains a Study Collection. All other material must be requested from the collections in Aalborg and Esbjerg. Staff is available on weekdays.
