The library’s Books-to-Your-Doorstep service is an alternative to picking up books at our branch libraries or at your local public library.
Please notice that the service is restricted to material from Aalborg University Library’s collections only.
The material is to be returned to the library by mail (postage paid by you) or by return to one of the branch libraries. However, it is possible to return material to other research libraries if they are included in the "Books-to-Your-Doorstep" delivery service. You will receive a list of libraries included in the service along with the material you order. If you wish to make use of this possibility, you must leave the flyer in the book as a receipt.
Please remember to mail the material in time. You will be fined if you pass the delivery deadline.
Issues regarding time of delivery, fines and procedures are stated in the library’s loan regulations.
Registered borrowers, who wish to change their pick-up place to “delivery by mail”, may send an email to aub@aub.aau.dk stating name, address and their AAU-card or library card number (external users).
LIBRARY CARD – REGISTRATION
You can register as borrower at Aalborg University Library by filling in this registration form.
LEVEL OF SERVICE
Requested material that is available for loan is usually dispatched from the library 1-3 workdays following the request in Primo. Books that are out on loan will be dispatched on the day after it has been returned.
Due to copyright and licence restrictions, it is not possible to send articles from online journals directly to the library’s users. In such cases, you must use interlibrary loan via your local public library.
