Aalborg University Library is a public library. This means that everyone is welcome at our branches in Aalborg, Copenhagen and Esbjerg during staffed opening hours.
Outside staffed opening hours:
- For AAU staff and students: You can only access the buildings, if you have activated your AAUcard. Only persons with AAUcard are permitted to stay in the buildings.
- For visitors unaffiliated with Aalborg University: There is no access to the library’s premises outside staffed opening hours. Only persons with AAUcard are permitted to stay in the buildings. This means that you will be asked to leave the premises, if you cannot present your AAUcard.
AAUcard is used by all staff and students as ID cards. You must always carry your card on campus. This applies to staff, students and external staff alike. The card must be presented upon request, and you may be asked to leave the premises if you are unable to do so. https://www.en.campusservice.aau.dk/aaucard/idcard-studentcard
In some cases, students may be asked to confirm the validity of the AAUcard. To do so, you can use an enrolment confirmation that you can print through STADS self-service, or you can create a digital student ID via the Studiz app.
The AAUcard is personal and may only be used by you. You must never pass on your AAUcard, or lend it to others. In the event of misuse, the card will be cancelled.
