It is the library's online resource task force (ERT-gruppen), who handles and manages the library's licence agreements. The agreements give AAU students and staff direct access to online resources such as e-books, e-journals and databases, whenever they are connected to the university's network. Access is granted via IP authentication.
If you are off campus, you can access the resources via the AAU Access Control, where you log on using your AAU e-mail and PIN code. Once you have passed the Access Control, you will get to the resources directly.
Downloads are being monitored
Evaluation of the library's online resources is an ongoing process.
The library's task force monitors the number of downloads from e.g. a database, and uses the result in their assessment of its relevance to AAU. Downloads can be monitored only when deriving from the library's website. We cannot monitor downloads of full text uploaded in Moodel, or full text documents that are illegally distributed via e-mail. Therefore, we recommend that you use deep linking to resources whenever possible. This will provide our task force with more accurate download figures, and minimize the risk of cancelling a resource by mistake.
