Publication and identification
Journal publishing

The university library gives access to Open Journal System (OJS), where AAU staff can publish journals online. In this way, Aalborg University has a unique possibility for hightening its profile and present its research through its own journals.
Open Access

Open Access is basically all about free access to research publications. The advantage of Open Access is that researchers increase the impact of their research.
Research registration in Pure

All AAU research publications, research projects, research activities and press cuttings are registered in Pure, the system behind the Aalborg University Research Database (VBN).
Get a DOI

Aalborg University Library can assign DOIs (Digital Object Identifier) to e.g. data files or other research registered in VBN or via Open Journal System.
ORCID - researcher ID

ORCID ensures correct identification of researchers regardless of identical name occurrences, name changes, spelling errors etc.
Ph.d. students
Ph.D. submission

PhD theses are submitted via VBN. Relevant templates etc. are collected on a separate page.

Register as user
All new members of AAU staff are automatically registered as library users. Your AAU-Card is your library card.
Department delivery
Members of staff can sign up for the library's department delivery service and have books delivered directly to their department.
