Delivery by mail

You can still borrow books and journals from the University Library even though you live far away from our branches.

Request via Bibliotek.dk

The quickest and easiest way is to order material via bibliotek.dk, and request to pick-up the material at your local library. Thereby both loan and return takes place at your local library.

Request directly from Aalborg University Library

Alternatively, you can request material in Primo and have it sent to your home address, if you live outside the following areas:

  • Aalborg district
  • Esbjerg district
  • Copenhagen and suburban districts

Please notice that the service is restricted to material from Aalborg University Library’s collections only.

Requested books and journals are usually shipped from the library four workdays following the request in Primo. If you have requested material that is currently out, we will ship it to you as soon as there is an available copy.

To be able to use this service, you must contact us at aub@aub.aau.dk.

Return

You can return the material to Aalborg University Library by mail (postage paid by you), or hand in the material at one of our branches.
Remember to return books/journals on the stated due date at the latest. If the return is overdue, you will be charged with a fee per item.

Due dates and recall notices are described in the library's loan regulations.
